If you work at Vet Med and have trouble getting to central campus for Friday Walk and Talks, we have good news for you- Walk and Talks have come to Vet Med! Walk and Talks are an excellent way to connect and network with others. Walks will continue every Monday through May 23, 2022. No registration is required. ISU WellBeing: Mid-Morning Mindfulness  | 10:00 am - 10:15 am  | Zoom

There is no better way to stay focused and productive when things around you are a little chaotic than to practice mindfulness. Join your colleagues and the ISU WellBeing team, and special guests, every Tuesday and Thursday mornings for a simple 15-minute mindfulness practice. Mindspring Mental Health Alliance Webinar: Understanding ADHD | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Mindspring Mental Health Alliance Webinar: Understanding Bipolar Disorder | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm 

Everyone experiences ups and downs, but bipolar disorder is different. An accessible guide to understanding the types of bipolar disorder, their symptoms, common misconceptions, and how relationships are impacted. ISU WellBeing: Experience the Strolls for Well-being at ISU | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm | Session 2 of the 3 part series concluding May 4.

Come and experience the Strolls for Well-being with others in our ISU Community. You will learn what the Strolls are, how they work and then set out and explore during the workshops. Participants will enjoy three in-person workshops using the Spring Guidebook and learn how a practice of mindfulness you can reduce stress and support your overall well-being. We will discuss how to incorporate the Strolls into your work and home life and infuse mindfulness. This is a great option for individuals, teams, departments and working with students. This initiative is a collaboration with ISU WellBeing and the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT). For more information and to register, click here. For more information on the Strolls for Well-being at ISU, click here.

Our Friday Walk & Talks have resumed! Meet us for a one mile walk around our picturesque ISU campus. Come walk and talk with friends, colleagues, or just come and enjoy the beauty of campus. This workshop is designed to provide information and resources needed by those approaching retirement within the next ten years. Thursday May 5: Employee & Family Resources EAP Workshop: Unplugged | 10:00 am - 11:00 am

It can be difficult to unplug living in a world of constant connection and perpetual multi-tasking. If you feel like your day is a series of alerts, notifications, and reminders, you are not alone. The average person checks his or her phone 150 times a day which makes it difficult to concentrate on tasks, projects and those around you. Several studies show tht we need time away from our personal devices in order to refresh and recharge. Learn how unplugging a bit each day can be beneficial to your personal relationships and increase productivity in the workplace. Course Objectives: Focus on mindfulness, discover the truth behind multi-tasking, identify ways to cut back on excessive screen time, and stablish personal time outs to enhance productivity.
