Every day, we see articles in magazines or snippets on TV regarding food, nutrition, and our health. It can be confusing, and lead to questioning our body and what intuitive eating means.

Join Student Wellness’s Lisa Nolting MFCS, RD as she shares information and leads a discussion regarding how to work on implementing these principle’s in your life.

This week's topic: The Science of Parenting: Balancing Research & Reality wit Positive Discipline  

What is the difference between discipline and punishment? Discover how positive discipline can increase strong parent-child relationships. Then you will learn a tool to use when you experience parenting struggles and challenging moments with your child.

  • ISU WellBeing - Walk and Talk - Walk on your own or join the ISU WellBeing team at 12:10 for a virtual walk via Webex.  For more information go here. 

This summer we are continuing our encouragement for you to break from the work you are doing and go on a one-mile walk with us every Friday. There are lots of ways to connect during this time and we have listed a few below for you to try:

  • Call a colleague, family member, or friend and talk on the phone while you walk
  • Encourage those in your place of residence to walk with you – kids, spouse, etc.
  • Take your pet on a walk – good for you, good for them
  • Go it alone and enjoy the quiet and peace of the day away from everyone else
  • Or, join the ISU WellBeing team via Webex every Friday!
