ISU WellBeing: Mid-Morning Mindfulness  | 10:00 am - 10:15 am  *No live sessions March 14 - 25.  Live sessions will resume March 29th*

There is no better way to stay focused and productive when things around you are a little chaotic than to practice mindfulness. Join your colleagues and the ISU WellBeing team, and special guests, every Tuesday and Thursday mornings for a simple 15-minute mindfulness experience. Wednesday, March 23:

Iowa State University Extension & Outreach Financial Literacy Webinar: Borrowing Smart | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm 

This session reviews basic credit principles with a focus on reducing both the cost and the risk of borrowing. It will address ways to build or maintain a good credit history and credit score, ways to monitor your debt levels to avoid excessive indebtedness, along with tools and strategies to reduce credit costs. It will also briefly review credit protections under the law and resources for assistance when needed. For more information and to register, click here

Mindspring Mental Health Alliance Webinar: Understanding Self-Harm | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm 

Self-injury is a complex behavior that is difficult to understand if you haven’t experienced it. Explore what self-harm is and is not, why people purposefully hurt themselves, and the symptoms to look for. Dispel myths and stereotypes and learn what treatments are most effective with a licensed therapist. For more information and to register, click here

Friday, March 25:  

ISU WellBeing: Friday Walk and Talk  |  *Walks begin again TODAY*

Join us as we resume our Friday Walk & Talks this spring. We’ll meet on Fridays at 12:10pm on the front steps of Beardshear for a one mile walk around our picturesque ISU campus. Come walk and talk with friends, colleagues, or just come and enjoy the beauty of campus. Join ISU WorkLife and WellBeing and de-stress from the week. The Friday Walk and Talks are an excellent way to connect and network with others! Walks will continue every Friday through May 20, 2022. The Strolls for Well-being at ISU offer opportunities on campus, or to pause where you are, and are designed to be flexible. Come and explore how the Strolls can fit in your schedule, whether you have 30 minutes or 5 minutes.
