As we reflect on the past two-plus years living with the pandemic, there has been disruption, uncertainty, and prolonged exhaustion which may have impacted your emotional wellbeing. As we continue to better understand the impact of prolonged ups and downs in our lives, we want to look at strategies to assist and help those who are especially vulnerable. This training will help you learn how you can support healthy dialogue, address stigma, and promote educational wellbeing.  We will also discuss strategies to prevent burnout and manage feeling overwhelmed by engaging in healthy activities that may rejuvenate you. Thursday June 16: Employee & Family Resources EAP Workshop: Food and Mood | 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Counting calories, fats, carbohydrates, and proteins are some of the most common ways to track eating habits and nutritional intake. But when was the last time you monitored your mood as it relates to what and how much you eat? Emotional eating is a common response to stress and fatigue, and it can lead to unhealthy eating habits, which can lead to chronic health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. In this seminar you’ll reflect on current eating habits, learn ways to track mood and food, and identify the difference between hunger, boredom, and stress eating. Course Objectives: Learn the difference between mindful and mindless eating, identify food triggers as they relate to emotions, and learn the best foods to eat when stressed.
