Mindspring Mental Health Alliance Webinar: Introduction to Children's Mental Health | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

And one of the most important ways we can strengthen the mental health of children is by recognizing when children need support. This introductory webinar explores how culture impacts our understanding of children’s mental health, the most common mental health symptoms and diagnoses for children, and when to seek help. Iowa PBS: Facing Suicide in Iowa Documentary | 8:00 pm

To help destigmatize suicide and advance the conversation around mental health, Iowa PBS presents Facing Suicide in Iowa. This 30-minute documentary premieres on statewide Iowa PBS on Monday, September 12 at 8 p.m. and will be rebroadcast on Tuesday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m. For more information, click here

Why do some people seem to persevere in adversity and others quit? Just what does the phrase Emotional Intelligence (EQ) mean? This training will explain the difference between EQ and IQ and the importance of EQ in the workplace. The popular use of the term refers to mixed traits that include: self-awareness, motivation and persistence, optimism and the ability to manage one's emotions.
