Mindspring Mental Health Alliance Webinar: Talking to Children About Mental Health | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm 

Children are curious about their environment and the people around them. How do we answer their questions about mental health?  Learn how to help children understand what mental illness is and is not and how to answer their questions in this one-hour seminar with a licensed therapist. Iowa State University Extension & Outreach Webinar: Money Smart: Taking Control of Your $- Two Part Workshop | 10:00 am - 10:30 am 

This workshop provides a “big picture” overview of what it means to be in control of your money on a month-to-month basis, and then looks at specific strategies to make that easier. Spending plans will be covered, including how to make a  spending plan that is truly realistic, AND how to put plans into action effectively. The overall focus is on your priorities – making money choices with your priorities in mind. Mindspring Mental Health Alliance Webinar: Understanding Oppositional Defiant Disorder | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm 

It's not unusual for children and teenagers to be defiant, and to question authority on occasion. ISU WellBeing EAP Workshop: Stress: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly | 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm  

If there's one thing we share in common in this world it is stress. Stress helps keep us alive, but it also can cause significant health problems, reduce efficiency at work and negatively impact personal relationships. While there is no such thing as eliminating all stress, there are ways you can minimize and manage stress to increase satisfaction and improve productivity in the workplace. There has never been a better time to commit to taking care of you than in 2022! The Adventure2 program is a great tool designed to support you throughout the year. Adventure2 supports whole person well-being and drives engagement in your work and personal life. In our fifth year, this fun and enticing online program provides a variety of activities, team challenges, gentle nudges and daily connections to keep you going throughout your day. Want to learn more? Have questions on how the program works? Want to connect with others using the tool? Join us for this series now through March 11th with a new topic each week. This week we’ll cover what Adventure2 is, who Limeade is and who is eligible. ISU WellBeing: Friday Walk and Talk  |  *Live sessions have ended until early Spring 2022*

While our Walk and Talks have "officially" ended until Spring 2022, we still encourage everyone to get out and walk as weather permits! For more information and resources for walking on campus, click here. As we know, winter weather in Iowa can be unpredictable so if we have an unseasonably warm day and anyone feels like a group walk, send out a Campus Connection note in Adventure2 and see if your colleagues are up for an impromptu walk around campus! You can also check out our newest program, Strolls for Well-Being at ISU, for other ideas on combining walking and mindfulness.

Navigating big emotions is tough, especially when the emotions are negative. Learn how to identify, understand, and navigate big emotions using the RAIN mindfulness technique.
