Spring 2021- Nutrition Counseling - ISU Employees Needed!

Nutrition Counseling Available Spring 2021 Semester!

In partnership with the ISU Food Science and Human Nutrition Department, we are looking for volunteers who are interested in FREE nutrition counseling by an ISU dietetics student. This is an incredible opportunity to support our students and receive some great support for improved nutrition.

Through this nutrition counseling service, volunteers will meet (virtually on Webex) with a senior level dietetics student three times between March 8th through April 12th. Meetings will be 30-60 minutes in length and the scheduled time will be agreed upon between the volunteer and the dietetics student.  The dietetics student will work with volunteers to explore nutrition, and help set specific and reasonable wellness goals.

Volunteers cannot have any specific ongoing health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, etc. as students are not yet trained for those conditions.

In addition to the great experience to have one-on-one sessions about nutrition, volunteers completing all three sessions will earn 100 pts in our Adventure2 program.

There are a limited number of dietetic students, so if you are interested, please sign up right away.  Volunteers will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Follow this link and register here.

  • Once registered, and as slots are available, you will receive a confirmation letter and instructions for next steps.
  • Registered participants will need to complete a Nutrition Counseling Release.  Instructions for completion of this form and how to submit will be included in your confirmation letter.
